Sunsplash 2005 Sunspash Sigma Nu Orlean Sat, May 6, 10pm-2am at Sigma Nu Fraternity One of the biggest fraternity parties of the year features 3 dance floors, 15 kegs of beer, and performing bands on an outdoor stage.
50/50: It’s Easy to Calculate - a discussion about work and marriage Tues, May 9, 4pm-5:30pm at Building 160 Sharon Meers, a former managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and husband Steve Dostart, a Palo Alto real estate developer, discuss the importance of balancing a career and a life partner. Meers recently completed a book on women and work.
Stanford Spring Faire Fri, May 12, 10am-6pm at White Plaza Over 100 artists will exhibit and sell artwork. Food and entertainment is also available for visitors. The faire will last through Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
35th Annual Stanford Powwow Fri, May 12, 5pm-11pm at Eucalyptus Grove near
Stanford Stadium
“The largest student-run powwow in the US” returns this year with performances of traditional Native American dancing and an art market. The event extends through Saturday and Sunday also.
