Smoke Signals

Forward Article to a Friend

We may not always agree with administration decisions, but for the determined student, Stanford is not a bad place to learn. We’ll busy ourselves in the Hoover archives and following in the steps of Mr. Buckley as we wait for administrators to come around.

RIP, Bill Buckley

Mr. Buckley’s work has significantly shaped the direction of the conservative movement of our generation. He was a role model to all at The Stanford Review.

Financial Aid

The new financial aid changes may not go as far as some of us would like to see, but they’re a step in the right direction.

Old Union

Given the nature of “the Bubble” (Palo Alto is not exactly student-friendly, and most students do not have cars), Stanford badly needs a true student center. Let’s hope the administration and the ASSU start reading from the same page soon.

Hoover Archives

From Baath Party records to the complete broadcast archive of Bill Buckley’s “Firing Line,” Hoover has it all.
