Online Course Evaluations | The new format for accessing past course evaluations through Axess and CourseRank was so popular this winter that administrators had to increase the number of students that can log in simultaneously. Hooray for the kind of free access to information and informed decision-making which can only make Stanford a better institution. |

Speaker Rejections | Ayaan Hirsi Ali, then-Cardinal Ratzinger, and Donald Rumsfeld all could have offered the Stanford community wonderful opportunities to hear distinguished and honorable world leaders. Let’s hope fear of the PC brigade doesn’t snuff out any more speaker invitations before they’ve seen the light of day. |

Increased Financial Aid | Stanford increased need-based scholarship funding by 15.2% for the current year, and has reduced expected parent contributions by an average of $2000. This will ease the burden of the University’s $45,608 tuition price tag for many. |
